To design a family house on the very edge of the development, without any technical infrastructure? A challenge as it should be! We bet on traditional Wallachian architecture with a gable roof, but in a modern design. The house draws its water from its own well, disposes of sewage directly on the property and, except for the connection to electricity, works essentially off-grid. A combination of tradition and self-sufficiency in practice.
Leak tests? Well, let's say they confirmed what every local suspected - the bedrock is made of impermeable clay, a typical feature of most of Zlín. So seepage was out of the question. Fortunately, the plot was large enough, so we designed a system for spraying excess rainwater and treated water. Practical, efficient and no mud pond in the garden.
